Hanging on telephone pole ahead was a big red and yellow poster. Tommy spotted the vibrant poster from blocks away. As he approached the poster, he read “ANNUAL JUMP ROPE CONTEST! WINNER RECIEVES A YEAR SUPPLY OF CUPCAKES FROM SPRINKLETOWN!” As a big grin grew on Tommy’s face, he said, “Sign me up!” There was only one problem. He didn’t know how to jump rope. What was he supposed to do? He first began his training with reading and watching instructional videos on jump roping. After he gained the basic knowledge of jump roping, he began practicing. Before he knew it the competition was here! He was number 43. As he waited anxiously, 40…41…42… was called. “Uh Oh, I’m next,” he said.

Where do I go from here?

It just dawned on me that I’m graduating in less than 4 months! Where has time gone? It’s been 4 years since I graduated from high school! As all my classmates finish up their applications to graduate school and their future jobs, I sit here pondering my next move. Grad school? Noooooo, the thought of another year of stress and tests makes me nauseous. Job? I will be graduating with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Education. Originally, I thought I wanted to teach with my degree, but I’ve been interning at a school for the past 2 semesters. It’s been fun, and I enjoy it. However, I do not love it. I want to love it. So, now I’m stuck in this rut of where to go next. Will I be a waitress for the rest of my life? I really hope not. Until next time…
